- Earned an additional Master’s Degree in Pathology which included specialized research on blood clotting mechanisms in association with cancer malignancies. This work, along with her training in hematology, has contributed to her expertise in treating anemias, clotting problems and other hematological diseases.
Dr. Sandra Hollander will often be found consulting and collaborating with world renowned physicians at university medical centers around the country discussing theories, clinical trial outcomes or just second opinions. She works very closely with regional science liaisons’ and The National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) to work within their guidelines. She implements state of the art chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and/or monoclonal antibody therapy protocols which she tailors for each cancer patient. Dr. Hollander is constantly vigilant on the newest treatments available.
She is the daughter of Dr. Maxwell Gordon, a well-documented scientist for Bristol Myers-Squibb Corporation. Dr. Gordon was a developer on of the first major cancer drugs in modern medicine, Cis-Platinum.
In addition to being a loving and supportive wife, Dr. Hollander also enjoys being an artist, creating crafts, swimming, dancing and learning foreign languages.
